7 Summer Date Ideas

7 Summer Date Ideas by Ashleigh Gray

Vaxed, waxed, and ready to date? Still social distancing and letting your body hair do its thing? Either way, spring is coming to a close and things are heating up. Whether you’re getting to know someone new or just want to spend some quality time with a long-term partner, the activity you choose has the potential to bring you and your companion closer. Enjoy the summer season with these chill and fun date ideas.

  • Have a picnic

This is a classic. A well-thought-out outing at a local park or beach, complete with music, snacks, and drinks is never a bad idea.

  • Stay in & cook
With the rise of meal kit delivery services it’s easy for even the most inexperienced cooks to work their way around the kitchen. Crack open a bottle of wine and spend some time playing chef.

  • Watch an outdoor movie

Drive-in movies and rooftop film showings are a great way to have fun while staying safe during Covid-19.

  • Visit an amusement park

Get your adrenaline going with a day trip to a local theme park. Not that you need a reason but, scary roller coaster rides are a great excuse to hold your crush’s hand.

  • Exercise outside

Biking, hiking, running, or group outdoor fitness classes are a great way to bond while breaking a sweat.

  • Rooftop pool

Sometimes lounging around doing nothing is more fulfilling than a physically demanding activity. Rooftop pools provide elevated relaxation, and who doesn’t love being brought food and drinks poolside?!

  • Wine tasting or a brewery date

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere! This is a particularly great first date idea, as some (responsible) drinking can help take the edge off nerves and ease inhibitions.
